Job Title:  Optometrist

Department:  Ophthalmology

Reporting To:  Ophthalmologist

Job Summary:

The Optometrist is responsible for examining patients’ eyes, diagnosing vision problems, prescribing corrective. The role includes providing high-quality eye care services and supporting ophthalmologists in clinical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive eye examinations including visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision assessment
2. Diagnose refractive errors and prescribe spectacles and contact lenses
3. Perform preliminary screening for eye diseases.
4. Assist ophthalmologists during OPD and minor procedures
5. Handle and maintain ophthalmic equipment
6. Counsel patients on eye care, lens usage, and preventive eye health
7. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
8. Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and hygiene standards
9. Participate in eye camps, outreach programs, and health awareness activities (if required)

Qualifications & Experience:

       Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry (B. Optom)/ Diploma in Optometry

       Experience: Minimum 4-5 Years
